A Century Correctional Institution inmate was reportedly stabbed multiple times Wednesday afternoon. “An inmate incarcerated at Century Correctional Institution was injured as a result of an apparent inmate-on-inmate altercation,” Florida Department of Corrections Press Secretary Alberto C. Moscoso told NorthEscambia.com. “The Florida Department Corrections Office of Inspector General was notified and is the lead investigatory authority on this case. The department will employ all available resources to ensure that a thorough investigation is completed.” The inmate was transported by Escambia County EMS to Sacred Heart Hospital following the 2:30 p.m. incident.
