| 3 inmates bolt North Cotabato prison |

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Three inmates facing charges of illegal possession of explosives and illegal drugs escaped from the North Cotabato Reformatory Center (NCRC) in Barangay (village) Amas here on Wednesday morning. Superintendent Erwin Ronqillo, chief for the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in North Cotabato, on Thursday identified the escapees as Mama Mandagia Makalati alias Marco, Musanip Saplidan Kusin and Esmael Nasser alias Derbi. Unnoticed by jail guards, the three inmates managed to get out of cell number one by destroying its padlock at around 4 a.m. on Wednesday. Ronquillo said Nasser is considered a dangerous inmate as he was responsible for series of shooting incidents as well as bombings in the town of Kabacan. Read More. |
