| Victoria County Jail replaces kitchen floor |

nmates have not returned to the Victoria County Jail's kitchen to prepare meals for other inmates. The jail's kitchen floor is being replaced. Chief Deputy Roy Boyd wrote via email that because of high traffic volume and constant cleaning, the grout between the ceramic tiles was compromised. "In an effort to ensure the safety of staff and inmates, as well as to ensure a sanitary food-handling environment, we made the decision to replace the tile with a more suitable flooring material," Boyd wrote.
