| Sheriff: Intruder smashes through window, attacks residents |

STUART, Fla. – A 19-year-old man is accused of smashing through the front window of a Florida home and attacking a woman and her son. Martin County Sheriff William Snyder told media outlets that the man was using a designer drug that didn't appear in a database of the narcotics analyzer used by investigators. The attack happened early Sunday. Snyder says the man jumped through the plate-glass window and grabbed the woman. She broke away and screamed for her adult son. The sheriff says the son fought the man while his mother hit the assailant on the head with a baseball bat. Read More. |
