Police arrested a man in connection with the slayings of three people found dead in a rural northwestern Indiana home.

Newton County Sheriff Thomas VanVleet tells WLFI-TV (http://bit.ly/2bQYZqY ) that 24-year-old Sebastian Wedding was arrested in connection with the killings of the two men and a woman. Their bodies were found Sunday night in a home at Sumava Resorts, an unincorporated town about 35 miles south of Gary.

Wedding is being held at the Newton County Jail on a preliminary murder charge.

It was unclear when Wedding was arrested and whether he had an attorney who could speak on his behalf. The sheriff's department did not immediately return messages seeking comment.

Newton County Coroner Scott McCord said officers responding to a 911 call of a bleeding man found the three bodies around 8 p.m. Sunday in the home.
