| UPDATE: Authorities identify inmate who jumped from moving transport in Harrison County |

CLARKSBURG, W. Va. (WDTV) -- Authorities have released the name of the inmate who escaped from a moving transport van Thursday night. According to the Harrison County Sheriffs Department, 39-year-old James Preston Riley is the man who fled from police custody as he was being taken to the North Central Regional Jail. Riley was also the suspect arrested in Monongalia County for burglary after he broke into a home on Wagner Road Thursday morning. He was found a short time later hiding under boat docks after he jumped into the Monongahela River. Read More. |
