| Hard planning for the future of corrections in Dutchess County moving forward |

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center Advisory Committee held its first meeting Monday as early planning for replacing the outdated current county jail picks up steam. The Committee Chairman is County Legislator A. Gregg Pulver, who updated the full legislature Monday night. “The programmatic changes that are taking place to ultimately lower the average length of stay, which obviously affects the size of the structure that we would potentially be building,” Pulver said.
