| Corrections says disturbances end at 4 prisons |

The state Department of Corrections grappled with disturbances at four North Florida prisons during the past week but said "normal operations" had resumed Monday. The department announced last week that a "major disturbance" involving several hundred inmates had occurred Wednesday at Holmes Correctional Institution. It said Monday that another major disturbance had occurred Friday in dorms at Gulf Annex Correctional Institution. Also it, said two dorms at Mayo Correctional Institution were involved Friday and Saturday in work stoppages and attempts to incite disturbances and that one dorm was involved in a disturbance Saturday at Jackson Correctional Institution.
