| Prison to get one last review |

MIFFLINTOWN - In an effort to not leave any stones unturned with regard to the future of the former prison building, the Juniata County Commissioners on Tuesday approved an intergovernmental agreement between the State Department of Corrections and the county to allow an inspection of the facility. "We just want to have one more time," Commissioner Alice Gray said. "We'll have the Department of Corrections look at the facility and let us know what the situation is there. This does not mean any movement at this time, but we want to make use of the facility. In order to do that, we need a final inspection before we do something with it." County Administrator Jim Bahorik added challenges are present. "It's important that when the commissioners get to the point where a decision is made in good faith, it can be said the commissioners looked at all possible options," Bahorik said.
