McNaughton inmate safe after protest in tree

LAKE TOMAHAWK - Oneida County Sheriff's deputies and prison staff talked an inmate down from a 30-foot-high perch in a tree Monday morning.

It happened at the McNaughton Correctional Center near Lake Tomahawk. The inmate climbed the tree and stayed there for two or three hours.

After his legs started getting numb, people on the ground convinced him to come down.
