| Jail fire under investigation |

About three dozen inmates were evacuated after a small fire broke out in the jail on the third floor of the Adams County (Ohio) Courthouse Tuesday night. No one was hurt. The building on state Route 125 also houses the courts and county communications center. The fire started just after 10 p.m., police said. The prisoners were returned to their cells before midnight. Police are investigating. |
