Inmate charged in stabbing incident |

A Maryland Correctional Training Center inmate faces charges in Washington County Circuit Court in connection with a stabbing late last year at MCTC, according to court records. Washington County District Judge M. Kenneth Long Jr. found probable cause during a preliminary hearing Thursday to forward all charges against Don D. Williams, 29, in connection with an incident on Dec. 12, 2004, records state. Williams was charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, records state. Authorities allege that Williams held an inmate, Donte Burrell, while another inmate stabbed Burrell several times in the back with a homemade, sharpened weapon. Burrell sustained three puncture wounds to his back, according to records. Guy M. Wise, 28, also was charged in the incident, records state. Wise was charged with seven offenses including attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, records state. Authorities allege Wise stabbed Burrell, according to records. Charges against him were forwarded to Circuit Court last week, records state. |
