A staff member has been assaulted at the state-run Nebraska State Penitentiary in Lincoln. According to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, an inmate struck the staff member, punching him in the head. Chemical agents and physical force were used to subdue the inmate during the incident yesterday. The staff member was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released. Read More. |
