| Second inmate dies on prison bus |

For the second time this year, a state prison inmate died on board a prison transportation vehicle. Steven Bounds, 47, was being taken in a van from a prison in western Maryland to the Patuxent Institute in Jessup. Officials said when the van arrived, Bounds was unresponsive and he died a short time later. Foul play is not suspected. Inmate Philip Parker was murdered on board a prison bus in February. Another inmate has been charged in his murder. |
