BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) corrections officer Kenneth Bettis was laid to rest over the weekend. Bettis sustained serious injuries after officials say he was attacked by an inmate at Holman Correctional Facility Sept. 1. He passed away Sept. 16. "Corrections Officer Kenneth Bettis will be deeply missed and his dedicated service to the state of Alabama will never be forgotten," ADOC spokesperson Bob Horton said in a statement. Read More. |
