CHEROKEE — An inmate at Alfalfa County Jail has been charged with another felony. Tina Ray Owens, 38, was charged with a felony count of possession of contraband and drugs by an inmate for possessing 2.5 gm of methamphetamine, according to an affidavit filed in her case. Charges were filed Sept. 21. The crime is punishable by five to 20 years in prison. An Alfalfa County dispatcher found a handwritten note under some leftover food and provided the note to Sheriff Rick Wallace. The letter, from Owens, stated she needed to speak with Wallace, according to the affidavit. Read More. |
