LOCKPORT, NY (WKBW) - 33-year-old Benito Gonzalez of Lockport is back in court facing additional attempted murder charges after planning to have an Sheriff's transport vehicle ambushed by an outsider en route to a court appearance. Gonzalez has been in custody at Niagara County Jail since June after he was charged with several counts of attempted murder, kidnapping and other domestic charges for allegedly trying to hire a hitman to kill his wife.
