| Corrections Officer Surrenders to Police After Standoff in Prison Tower |

DERMOTT, Ark. - Things are returning to normal at an Arkansas prison after authorities say a corrections guard barricaded himself inside the prison's tower. Chicot County Sheriff Ronnie Nichols says the guard locked himself in a Delta Regional Unit tower in Dermott and refused to come out. Nichols says the guard was armed with a rifle.
