| Westmoreland prison in compliance, inspection finds |

Officials said Thursday a state inspection of the West-moreland County jail conducted last month identified no deficiencies. Inspectors toured the jail on Sept. 20, reviewed written policies and procedures and determined the facility was in complete compliance with department regulations, according to correspondence from the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. “No concerns requiring a plan of action were identified during this inspection,” states a letter from Thomas E.
