| DOC inmate dies at Ogemaw County Jail |

OGEMAW — An inmate lost his life in the Ogemaw County Correctional Facility Nov. 1. According to Ogemaw County Sheriff Howie Hanft, Greg Stratos, 31, was being held in the intake area of the jail for a medical reason. Hanft said Stratos climbed onto a short divider wall next to the toilet and dove head-first into the concrete floor. He was being held at the jail by the Michigan Department of Corrections for parole violations. Read More. |
