| Inmate gets at least 20 years for Brighton man's murder |

A Michigan prisoner who authorities say killed his 23-year-old cellmate – a Livingston County man – was sentenced Monday to at least 20 years in prison. Timothy Ronald Dickerson, 24, an inmate at the Saginaw Correctional Facility, pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in the Jan. 13 death of Jason Nathaniel Turnbull, of Brighton. Michigan State Police said Turnbull was strangled to death following an argument with Dickerson. Turnbull was found unresponsive and was later pronounced dead. Turnbull was serving a 10- to 15-year prison term for third-degree criminal sexual conduct as well as a minimum one-year prison term for multiple convictions of fourth-degree CSC. Read More. |
