ATLANTA (AP) — The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles has scheduled a clemency hearing for a man who's set for execution later this month. Steven Frederick Spears is to be put to death Nov. 16 at the state prison in Jackson. The parole board set a hearing for Nov. 15. Clemency hearings aren't open to the public or media The 54-year-old was convicted of murder in the August 2001 death of his ex-girlfriend Sherri Holland at her Dahlonega home. Read More. |
