CARLIN, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Two inmates are in the hospital after a fight broke out a minimum-security prison in Elko County, according to a Nevada prison official. At 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, Carlin Police, the Elko County Sheriff's Office and its SWAT team responded to a call that guards were under attack at Carlin Conservation Camp. According to Nevada Department of Corrections, 40 inmates were armed with homemade weapons and refusing commands. Two inmates were hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries and will be released from the hospital Monday, according to NDOC. Read More. |
