The upcoming exams will be held for the purpose of hiring new corrections officer trainees for the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS), according to a release from Canandaigua Town Supervisor Pam Helming. Helming is senator-elect for the 54th state Senate District.

“Adequate staffing levels are paramount to ensuring public safety, as well as providing safe working conditions for the hardworking men and women in our State Correctional facilities,” stated Helming. “I am pleased DOCCS is committed to hiring additional staff and encourage all interested individuals to take the upcoming exam.”
