| Charges of assaulting corrections officer for inmate at county jail |

SAEGERTOWN — An inmate at the Crawford County jail in Saegertown wanted in Illinois on a parole violation in that state now is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a jail corrections officer over the weekend, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Meadville. The incident allegedly happened at 7:30 a.m. Sunday when inmate Dexter L. White, 31, of 12961 Jas Lane, Meadville, became angry with another inmate about phone use and White allegedly then struck the other inmate, according to state police. When a corrections officer intervened between the two inmates, White then allegedly assaulted the corrections officer, police said. According to the criminal complaint filed Monday, White allegedly struck Corrections Officer Robert Servey in the left cheek with a closed fist, causing a bruise to Servey's left eye. White then allegedly knocked Servey down, causing a laceration to Servey's left elbow, the criminal complaint said. Read More. |
