MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga – A grand opening was held on Tuesday for a nursing home that will serve elderly and infirmed parolees from the state Department of Corrections. The Bostick Nursing Center is on the grounds of the former state hospital. It is being operated by CorrectLife, and will also serve patients with mental illness and behavioral health issues. CorrectLife purchased the parcel from the state, tore down a dilapidated building on the site and over a three-year period planned and built a 110,000-square-foot facility valued at more than $20 million. Bostick will create at least 330 direct jobs at the facility. The 280-bed intermingled skilled nursing and intermediate care facility will serve special populations with limited access to skilled nursing and intermediate care services. Read More. |
