| Inmate Charged in Heroin Death Case Dies in Jail |

LEWISTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) – Police said a man charged in the death of a woman was found dead at the Androscoggin County Jail on Thursday. At approximately 6:15 p.m., 52-year-old, inmate Scott A. Harmon, of Auburn, was found in his cell unresponsive, according to police. A corrections officer discovered Harmon and immediately called for medical assistance to provide medical attention, police say. Harmon was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where he passed away. A family member tells NEWS CENTER Harmon suffered from a heart condition and the jail failed to give him his medication. Read More. |
