Inmate charged with having heroin at the Mercer County jail |

TRENTON - A Mercer County Correction Center inmate was found with seven decks of heroin after officers saw him try to hide the drug in a glove in his waistband, according to Mercer County prosecutors. Tyrik Johnson, 23, of Trenton, was charged with drug possession after the incident earlier this week when jail officials saw a glove, which contained heroin, sticking out of one of Johnson's socks, according to prosecutors. Johnson then tried to conceal the glove in his waistband but was spotted by officers, who decided to search him. Read More. |
