ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday acquitted a death row inmate after ten years terming the incarceration and the death sentence unjust. Three-member bench of the SC, headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, acquitted Amir in a murder case. The court stated that a case was lodged against him in 2006 in a police station in Jhelum. Trial court had acquitted four others accused in the case while he was sentenced to death. Read More. |
