| Man to trial for allegedly assaulting Crawford County jail corrections officer |

A Crawford County jail inmate will stand trial in Crawford County Court of Common Pleas for allegedly assaulting a corrections officer at the jail in Saegertown last month. Dexter L. White, 31, of 12961 Jas Lane, Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Meadville for an incident Nov. 27. Police allege White became angry with another inmate about phone use and White struck the other man. Corrections Officer Robert Servey intervened between the two inmates and White then assaulted Servey, according to police. Read More. |
