| Inmate at Childress Detention Center dies in apparent hanging |

An inmate at Childress County Detention Center died Wednesday, and he was found hanging in his jail cell. Brian Suggs, 45, of Euless, was found dead at around 10:50 a.m. during an inspection walk-through. Suggs’ death is the first at the Childress Dentention Center since its opening in 2009. Suggs had been arrested for two counts of a controlled substance under a gram, possession of a prohibited weapon, brass knuckles and possession of a dangerous drug in a correctional facility, according to police.
