OSSINING – A Brooklyn woman has been arrested for trying to smuggle drugs into Sing Sing Correctional Facility for an inmate she had planned to visit. State Police at the Hawthorne barracks arrested Shakeema Chavis, 35, of Brooklyn on December 22 on charges of promoting prison contraband and four counts of misdemeanor drug possession.
