| Seventh inmate escapes Canyon County tent facitlity |

CALDWELL — Another inmate has escaped from the minimum-security tent jail facility, according to Canyon County Sheriff’s officials. The inmate wasn’t free for long on Wednesday. Canyon County Sheriff deputies, aided by the Caldwell Police Department, apprehended the inmate minutes after he escaped the tent-style lockup. It’s the seventh inmate to have successfully escaped the facility in the last year. Ryan Michael Tone, 36, fled by climbing over an interior wall into the kitchen area and breaking through the exterior door, which hasn’t been replaced or fixed since the last escape attempt, sheriff department officials said. Once Tone was through the door, authorities say he attempted to flee, but was immediately apprehended by a Caldwell police officer and on-staff deputies. Read More. |
