A laptop computer belonging to the Tennessee Department of Corrections was stolen out of a car belonging to a department employee. The theft occurred in Murfreesboro and reports indicate that not only the laptop, but also an Ipad were taken in the theft. The man who left the items in the car told police he works for the Probation and Parole office under the Department of Corrections in Columbia, Tennessee. The theft was reported just prior to the New Year's weekend. The car was parked on Eastview Drive in Murfreesboro when it was broken into.
