Howard County, Md., police are investigating the death of a man found hanging in a jail cell at the county detention center. Dean Cumbie, 34, was found by an officer Friday evening. He was pronounced dead at Howard County General Hospital. Police arrested Cumbie Wednesday on a fugitive warrant from Georgia. Police said preliminary findings show the death to be consistent with a suicide. An autopsy is being performed by the state medical examiner's office. |
