ATTICA, N.Y. (WKBW) - According to the Correction Officer's Union, the Attica Correctional Facility was placed on lockdown after a series of fights between prison inmates. http://www.wkbw.com/news/five-fights-in-two-days-with-illegal-weapons-causes-lockdwon-at-the-attica-correctional-facility The Correction Officer's Union says the facility has been on lockdown since Sunday after the fights which involved the use of illegal weapons. The union says the first incident took place on Saturday between two inmates and the use of illegal weapons. They say the following day several fights occurred, almost simultaneously, beginning at 3 p.m. with eight men and illegal weapons. At 3:06 p.m. another fight broke out involving 12 inmates, and two gas canisters were used to prevent the fight from growing. Around 3:10 p.m. two other incidents, one involving two men and the other a five-on-five involving illegal weapons, occurred. Read More. |
