| Authorities searching for walkaway inmate from Jean Conservation Camp |

A minimum-security inmate walked away from Jean Conservation Camp late Monday and is at large, the Nevada Department of Corrections announced Tuesday. The inmate, April Barth, 30, escaped about 7 p.m. from the camp, which is about 15 miles south of the Las Vegas Valley. Barth began serving her 12 to 48-month sentence at the camp Sept. 13 after an attempted grand larceny conviction. She is described as 5 foot 1, 135 pounds with green eyes and brown, shoulder-length hair. She has a tattoo with the letter “A” and three dots on her right hand, as well as a tattoo of her name, “April,” on her left arm, along with other tattoos.
