| Valley Street inmate found hanging in his jail cell dies |

MANCHESTER — An inmate found hanging in his Valley Street jail cell died around 1 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said. Bedford resident Donald Janes, 52, was found unconscious in his cell when corrections officers and on-duty medical workers tried to revive him, the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections said in a statement released several hours later.
