The Mount Olive Correctional Complex remained on lockdown Monday evening after a prisoner was fatally shanked Sunday on the facility’s outdoor recreation yard by one or more other inmates. Eugene Robert Anderson, 66, of Parkersburg, was stabbed around 6 p.m. The makeshift weapon was recovered by authorities, said Lawrence Messina, a spokesman with the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs.
