| Champagne named to succeed retiring Hamelin as Coos County Superintendent of Corrections |

WEST STEWARTSTOWN — The Coos County Commission on Wednesday appointed a new superintendent of corrections. Following their regularly-scheduled meeting Wednesday morning, the three-member commission, in a prepared statement, announced that Benjamin Champagne would succeed Craig Hamelin, effective Feb. 15. Champagne joined the Coos County Department of Corrections in 2007 as a correctional officer and was promoted to corporal in 2010 and to sergeant in 2013. Read More. |
