County Probation Director Jim Schneider and Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) District Supervisor Vic Moen presented their annual reports Feb. 6 to the Cass County Board. Since Probation works cooperatively with the DOC, it made sense to make a joint presentation, Schneider remarked. County Probation handles juvenile cases and adults with gross misdemeanors, misdemeanors and traffic offenses, while the DOC is responsible for supervising all adult felony and non-traffic gross misdemeanor offenders in Cass.
