The FBI said authorities have recaptured a convicted killer who disappeared more than 10 years ago with the wife of an assistant prison warden. The woman has also been found alive. The FBI said a viewer of the television show "America's Most Wanted" gave Orange County, Texas, prosecutors a tip on the whereabouts of Randolph Dial and Bobbi Parker. Federal agents, Texas Rangers and Orange County investigators found Dial at a mobile home in Shelby County, Texas. Parker was found a short time later at a chicken ranch. She apparently is in no hurry to go back to her old life. "As far as I know, she has no intention of leaving," Shelby County Sheriff Newton Johnson told The Oklahoman late Monday. "She said she wants to stay on the farm and raise chickens." Investigators initially thought Parker was kidnapped and held against her will by Dial, who escaped from the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite in 1994. Parker's husband, Randy Parker, was a deputy warden at the prison but has since transferred. The couple have two daughters. Dial was convicted of killing a karate instructor in 1981. "America's Most Wanted" has featured his case several times. |
