| Arkansas governor schedules 8 inmate executions for April |

Eight inmates on death row in Arkansas are set to be executed in April, according to proclamations from Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. The U.S. Supreme Court last week rejected an attempt by nine Arkansas inmates to stop their executions over claims that their deaths would be "intolerably painful." On Friday Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge asked Gov. Hutchinson to set the dates for eight of the inmates to be executed. The ninth inmate from the Supreme Court case is not included in the proclamations signed by the governor Monday. Read More. |
