NEWPORT (KATV) — An employee at the Department of Correction's Grimes Unit was injured as severe weather moved through Arkansas Wednesday morning. According to ADC Spokesman Solomon Graves, staff housing at the Grimes Unit in Newport sustained heavy damage. Six mobile homes were damaged and one employee was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The employee's name and details on injuries were not released. No inmates were injured. Read More. |
