(Chillicothe, Oh.) – A man on Ohio’s death row for the killing of a Crosby Township woman has committed suicide. Patrick Leonard was convicted of the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Dawn Flick. According to Ohio Supreme Court documents, the couple had recently broken up when on July 29, 2000, Leonard handcuffed Flick, tried to rape her, and shot her in the head three times in her home in New Baltimore. He also shot her friend, Ryan Gries. Leonard was sentenced to death after being found guilty of aggravated murder in 2001. Read More. |
