Scott Michael Smith, aged 27, has been charged with wounding with intent and will appear at a magistrates court at a date yet to be set. It follows an incident on February 24 when an officer was hospitalised with a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain. He is still recovering. Staffordshire Police investigated the incident and the Crown Prosecution Service authorised the charge yesterday. Read More. |
