| Pontiac Corrections Officers Voice Safety Concerns |

Pontiac Correctional officers say they don't feel safe inside of the maximum security prison. Wednesday they spoke up, calling on the Illinois Department of Corrections to support their safety. Last month an officer was stabbed by an inmate. This past summer, correctional officers say 6 of their fellow officers were assaulted. Wednesday several victims of the assault shared their stories and a clear message that they want people to know what goes on inside prison walls. "Every once in a while it still replays in your head and you just think about how lucky you are." Corrections Officer, Alanea Lewis, said. Alanea Lewis has been a Corrections Officer at the Pontiac Correctional Center for 4 years. In August, she and 5 fellow officers were assaulted by an inmate.
