A state inmate escaped from a South Alabama work release facility Sunday evening. Justin Thomas Fritz, 26, escaped from the minimum security Mobile Work Release Center about 5:30 p.m., according to an Alabama Department of Corrections alert. Fritz was serving a 2 1/2 - year sentence out of Pickens County on third-degree burglary. Fritz was last seen wearing a state-issued white inmate uniform and black boots. He is a white male, 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Read More. |
