| Supervisors to discuss continuing mental health counseling services at jail |

The contract between the Hall County Department of Corrections and its mental health counselor will end on June 30 and Hall County is looking for ways to continue to provide mental health services to inmates at the jail. At its meeting Tuesday morning, the Hall County Board of Supervisors will consider approving a plan to continue to provide a mental health counselor at the jail. Hall County board chairwoman Pam Lancaster said the jail has had a mental health counselor for a “very long time” since the previous jail administration. She added the mental health provisions offered to those who are incarcerated are what makes Hall County “so desirable” for state and federal prisoners. Read More. |
