PORTLAND, Maine — An inmate inside the Cumberland County jail suffered an overdose Sunday night after using a controlled substance. Danyielle Banks, 43, of Biddeford, was sitting at a table in a housing pod when officers noticed she was having seizure-like symptoms, Capt. Steve Butts said. Banks was treated with Narcan, an opioid antidote, and taken to Maine Medical Center. She was released and returned to jail. Read More. |
